New Wrinkles with Robocalls

First, A Word to the Wise: We’ve written before about the overuse and misuse of robocalls in campaigns—they are cheap, easy to activate, and for sale on almost every corner. And because they appear so easy to employ, lots of candidates get into trouble with robocalls—imagine a twelve-year-old boy with a chainsaw. The news stories are plentiful: robocalls launched at 3 am, cell phones on the calling list (big fine), calls directed to the wrong state… Please, hire a pro. This safeguard will cost less than a ½ of 1% of your communications budget.
